The Conference Room, originally home to the Alfonso Gallo Museum and today named after Maria Clara Lilli Di Franco, is a multipurpose space. After its complete renovation (2005) it has become the focal point of the main floor. The walls, completely covered by large shelving, contain most of the volumes intended for consultation by ICPAL students and staff. The hall is constantly in use for conferences, exhibitions, concerts, seminars, degree course lessons, conferences and lectiones magistrales by scholars and experts relating to the disciplines studied at the Institute. Among the numerous occasions we recall the presentations of various restorations carried out by the Institute (photos by Giuseppe Garibaldi, The journey of paper, The secrets of Leonardo da Vinci, The Codex Purpureus Rossaniensis, The archives of Bad Arolsen, Hanji and the Chartula of San Francesco of Assisi) Recurring events are: European Heritage Days, Paper Sunday.
